Thursday, April 7, construction workers began dismantling the STA grotto in preparation for the Chapel of St. Joseph and Windmoor Center. According to JE Dunn superintendent Cary Smith, the workers are expecting to receive a permit next week to run a waterline from the south side of the Donnelly Hall building to where the grotto currently resides and clear trees in the Quad, so that they may begin construction of the geothermal wells.
Currently, fences surrounding the south side of the Quad are blocking STA students from the Donnelly Hall sidewalk. Students must walk past the Music and Arts building and the Goppert Center from the parking lot to enter Donnelly Hall.
