“Out of the Darkness” event raises awareness about teen depression

The “Out of the Darkness” event raising awareness of teen suicide and depression was held April 27 in the Goppert Center. Seniors Liz Wiens, Melissa Lane and Lucy Edmonds organized the event that started at 6:30 a.m. Students and teachers heard a presentation about depression and suicide, then walked a mile around the track to honor those affected by said problems. The morning concluded with a donut breakfast.
